Last Night in Manhattan

Kneeling by the window edge
Watching city lights glow
Learning a new word called heartache
Feeling how tears flow

Last night in Manhattan
The longest night I've ever felt
Waiting for miracles to happen
Waiting for questions to be answered

This feelings of butterflies in tummy
This feelings of firework shots
Please don't let them be just memory
Because I am putting on hopes

Showers may turn cold
Weathers may be unpredictable
Just remember what promises hold
Before it all became unchangeable

Baby I shall wait
With no limits of time, place and date
But don't you ever regret
If you came back too late

Yours truly
Perpetua Angeline
